Job Description

Driver Trainer3 Month Fixed Term - potential for permanent employment Greater Manchester £35,000 plus benefitsFollowing a period of incredible growth my client, a supplier of consumables to the retail industry, now has an excellent opportunity for a Driver Trainer to join their team.Our client offers a competitive salary, market leading benefits and excellent career progression opportunities.Role Purpose:To support the National Logistics Team in delivering Logistics & Service excellence. To ensure that we are operating efficiently & effectively. Collaborating with all departments to ensure we maximise skills and compliance in a Logistics Environment. Toassist in the development of a sustainable Transport strategy for the future.Duties include:

  • Support Transport Manager in delivering operational Compliance, Health, Safety, and Environmental training requirements.
  • Provide support to Logistics Team as and when required.
  • Own and maintain all transport training systems and matrices.
  • Assist in creating an environment of continuous improvement & learning.
  • Carry out driving assessments as and when required.
  • Develop and deliver agency assessments and induction program.
  • Deliver Telematics training for all end users.
  • Deliver SAFED training across logistics function.
  • Carry out delivery point assessments and generate delivery point information including any "Special Instructions" for every customer delivery & backhaul collection point locations.
  • Support TSM in Ensure the logistics communication is delivered.
  • Ensure all transport training systems are always up to date with all relevant data and 100% compliant.
  • Generate Training KPI information in an accurate & timely manner
Skills & Experience required:
  • IOSH Certificate (or working towards)
  • Training Qualifications, DCPC, Train the trainer, Shunting, etc to complete role.
  • High degree of flexibility - last minute changes to working hours, days or location as required to meet the expectations & commitments of the role.
  • Previous Training experience in Logistics, operations desirable.
  • Proven Training delivery expertise at an operational level, within a logistics environment would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in delivering Logistics educational requirements in operational in a supply chain logistical business organisation would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a Transport operation in a fast-paced warehousing and distribution environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Road Transport Law, Operators Licencing and undertakings, and transport Compliance requirements EU Tachograph, H&S and WTD legislation.
