Job Description

A large nationwide company are looking for a Procurement & Stock executive to join their team in Garforth.As part of their finance team, you will work closely with their Finance Team as well as the Operational function and other key departments within the business. The role will take full responsibility for the day to day purchasing needs of the whole businessand the control over stock and inventory.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and purchasing of all product SKUs.
  • Sourcing and purchasing all other non-stock items.
  • Management of all product stock levels to ensure the fulfilment of all customer orders.
  • Control of stock items with regards to use by dates and stock rotation.
  • Ensure the goods in process is managed effectively on a day-to-day basis.
  • Undertaking physical stock counts and reporting of stock losses/gains.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce cost prices and improve margin.
  • Maintain good working relationships and partnership with all suppliers. This will include SLAs that fit the needs of the business.
  • Production of purchasing forecasts for both internal and supplier needs.
  • KPI Reporting.
  • Use of company financial systems for the raising of purchase orders and matching of delivery notes.
  • Maintain up to date cost prices within both the financial systems and SOP system.
Experience in a similar role and using financial and stock management systems is essential.The ideal candidate will have excellent MS Excel skills and preferably used Sage financials before however this is not essential.Job type: Permanent, full-time Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 (This is very much dependant on experience)
