Senior Mechanical Engineer £Negotiable plus excellent benefits packageOur amazing growing technology company based in Swavesey North of Cambridge are looking for an equally forward thinking experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer.The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be working with:New ProductsDesign and develop new product from concept through testing to finished product, considering function, compliance standards and end of life requirements.Produce 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks CADBuild and test prototype productValidate and verify design function, using calculation and software analysis as appropriateIdentify technology / product and service suppliers as appropriate, providing interface and liaison as necessaryWork closely with production regarding design for manufacture, providing support and relevant engineering documentation as necessaryCarry out engineering experimentation and testing as appropriate for design verification and standards compliancePrepare and present reports and test resultsThe Senior Mechanical Engineer will work on existing product support:Support and advise on continuous improvement;Reliability Failure analysis and correctionCost reductionFunctionProvide internal and external engineering supportBecome familiar with our clients technologies, product control and application requirementsEssential Requirements for the Senior Mechanical Engineer A relevant engineering degreeExperience in product / component design comprising:Machined metal parts and finishing detailMachined plastic parts; using appropriate knowledge of material propertiesInjection moulded parts; using appropriate knowledge of material propertiesSheet metalwork; using appropriate knowledge of material forming parametersDimensioning of drawings using geometric tolerancingExperience using Solidworks Design to achieve compliance with specified international standardsGood communication skills, written and oralGood PC literacy; experienced using Word, Excel and PowerpointAbility to present design concepts and undertake a multidisciplinary design review 35 hours a week Monday to Friday flexible hours Benefits for the Senior Mechanical Engineer 25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPension HealthcareBonus Scheme Car Parking For more details please contact Lisa ParsonsINDENG
