Quality Inspector £Negotiable plus excellent benefits Due to continuing growth our client has an opportunity for a Quality Inspector on either a contract basis for the next 6 months, or a temporary to permanent placement. They have so much growth that it really is an exciting time to join them and grow your career. Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector You would join a growing, busy but close-knit quality team and, under the direction of the Quality Team Leader, would be performing in-process inspection and testing of finished product and the responsibility of delivering conforming product to customers. Thiswill primarily involve: Completing your daily workload and dedicated completion of inspection tasks in a timely mannerVerify the conformity of parts, assemblies, and subassemblies in line with engineering drawings, the quality management system, any other specific requirements, and document nonconformance.The ability to use a wide range of inspection and test equipment in line with documented instructionsEnsure the comprehensive completion and auditable traceability of inspection records.Support continuous improvement activities as required.Maintain all area 6S requirements ensuring that the business targets are maintained, and corrective / improvement plans exist where requiredTake an active part in continuous improvementLiaise with other internal departments e.g. Production, Engineering etc. to resolve manufacturing issues where identified by the Quality Team Leader or Operations Quality Manager. Take an active role in the reduction of nonconformance.Carry out any other duties appropriate and as required by your line manager/ Operations Quality Manager to support business requirements.The Quality Inspector will be a bit of a perfectionist, but also be practical and flexible to meet business needs. You will thrive in a fast-paced working environment, juggling a wide range of tasks. More specifically you will have: An ONC/HNC in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience Good communication skills both verbally and writtenBe a team player in attitude and values supporting the Quality Team LeaderThe ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative both internally and externally where directedWork to tight timescales whilst maintaining quality standardsThe courage and confidence to challenge product progression in the event of discovering a nonconformanceA positive mindset and good judgement skillsMonday to Friday Swavesey For more information please contact Lisa Parsons INDENG
