Job Description

We have a new vacancy for a talented Production Planner / Planning Engineer to join an exciting and expanding high-tech company, based just outside Cambridge. The Production Planner position will see you involved in support to all production planning andpurchasing functions, undertaking basic to intermediate MRP (material requirements planning) analysis, ensuring process accuracy relating to manufacturing capacity and production demand.   • Production scheduling, manufacturing resource planning and control
  • Understanding of SAP processes, production planning and control support, knowledge of MRP, material management, production orders.
  • Working with BoM, using SAP to control planning.
Production Planner`s Requirements
  • Recent and practical experience of manufacturing and material management processes within complex special purpose equipment.
  • SAP working experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using an MRP system.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of manufacturing principles, lean manufacturing techniques (Push vs Pull, Kanban, VSM, JIT)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and manage a varied workload.
Location: Cambridgeshire (Commutable from: Cambridge, Bedford, Huntingdon, St Neots, Peterborough, etc.)
