Job Description

About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Business Coordinator to join our Living Places business unit to work in Swavesey Depot, Cambridgeshire.Role Purpose:We are looking for an enthusiastic person with positive energy, and willingness to learn new things, to join our Street Lighting contract. The candidate should have experience of general administration, customer service, and preparing quotations. They shouldbe organised, efficient and able to manage their own time. What youll be doing As a Business coordinator, your main responsibilities are as follows:Team Administration:

  • Preparing and issuing quotations
  • Liaising with clients
  • Following projects through from enquiry to completion
  • Working with the supervisor and manager to coordinate and plan site works
  • Maintaining accurate and updated records of project work
  • Carrying out system updates
  • Managing Parish maintenance contracts
  • Seeking opportunities for additional work-winning
Quality & Compliance:
  • Managing building asset compliance, e.g. arranging inspections,maintenance etc.
  • Assisting with internal quality control, ensuring compliance and audit-readiness
Training & Competence
  • A key role for the contract; owning, managing and monitoring the competence and qualifications of our staff, and booking courses to ensure everyone is up to date.
  • Managing our compliance with HEA / HERS requirements.
Contract Support:
  • Working with entire team to streamline and optimise our operations
Who were looking for Essential:
  • Experience and knowledge of using MS Office software
  • Familiarity with database and CRM systems
  • Customer service experience, including preparing / handling quotations
  • Experience of project administration
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
Desired:
  • Experience of the street lighting or highways industry
  • Experience of working with training and competence compliance
