Job Description

About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Street Lighting Administrator to join our Living Places business unit to work in Swavesey DepotCambridgeshire. What youll be doing We are looking for an enthusiastic person with positive energy, and willingness to learn new things, to join our Street Lighting contract. This is an administration role with a number of elements, and one which brings great value to our project and team.As a Street Lighting Administrator, your main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Taking phone calls from members of the public relating to our street lighting service, and providing excellent customer service to their queries.
  • Raising and monitoring fault tickets on our Asset Management System.
  • Managing insurance claims, where our assets have been damaged by others and we are seeking to reclaim our costs.
  • Monitoring the accuracy of our inventory and systems.
  • Assisting the project team with day-to-day tasks and maintaining precise records of activities.
  • This is a site-based role covering all of Cambridgeshire County.
Who were looking for The following qualities and experience are essential:
  • Experience and knowledge of using MS Office software, in particular Excel.
  • Experience in an office administration environment.
  • Customer service experience, dealing with members of the public.
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Willingness to learn new things.
  • This role requires a very high level of accuracy and care, to ensure records are correct and detailed.

  • Familiarity with database and mapping systems.
  • Experience of the street lighting or highways industry.
