Job Description

Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover GlobalParts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rovers new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment programalready underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.Here at Unipart we dont just have a way of working, we have The Unipart Way. It allows everyone in our team to pursue their own personal and professional goals to a world class level, through Uniparts From Gate to Great training and development program.As a Trainer, you will deliver the On boarding training programme in an effective and engaging way to enhance the learners experience to all new starters and to ensure they are operationally competent for their roles. You will engage with business managementand other key stakeholders to ensure value add training interventions are delivered through various training methods.Operational Trainer key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver the Onboarding training programmes consistently throughout the year as we ramp up to 700 employees.
  • Ensure the learner experience is engaging and motivating
  • Deliver virtual training infrastructure to ensure effective induction and on the job training for Warehouse Operatives, Operational Colleagues and where appropriate Team Leaders
  • Promote and advise on safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of the facility, protective equipment and control measures
  • Ensure all training is delivered to standard following lesson plans and SOP
  • Deliver team building training when required
  • Assess training feedback & action accordingly
  • Support & deliver other training programmes as required
Operational Trainer Requirements:Wed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!
  • Strong planning, organising and time management skills
  • Experience in delivering VR training
  • Self-motivated
  • Willingness to learn about new technology
  • Ability to work to targets and timescales
  • Adaptable and able to react quickly and effectively to changes and requests
  • Work well in a team with good leadership, coaching, facilitation and mentoring skills
  • Solid knowledge of the Training cycle and best practice
  • Certificate in Training Practice
  • Credible and engaging presenter and stand up trainer
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with varying levels of technical staff and customers,
  • Knowledge of process based organisations including methods and technique
