Job Description

Registered Mental Health Nurse £25,614 - £28,686 plus shift enhancements.Newbridge House is a specialist Eating Disorder unit based in Streetly, Sutton Coldfield, providing in and out-patient services to young people aged 8-18. With unprecedented demand and an enviable reputation for excellent service provision we have had significant success through the dedication, innovation, and determination of our talented and close team of professionals. The unit was rated "Outstanding" by the CQC in 2016 and 2018.We have two positions available:Position 1: Fulltime 4 week rolling Rota consisting of 3 weeks of day shifts and 1 week of 4 nights.Position 2: Fulltime 4 week rolling Rota consisting of 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks nights, working 8 in total.Please indicate which position you are interested in when applying.ARE YOUUpbeat, positive, and caring with a genuine desire to build supportive relationships with colleagues and patients

  • WE OFFER THE OPPORTUNITY:
  • To provide clinical care to all patients at Newbridge, according to the treatment plans prescribed by the Consultant Psychiatrist and Multi-disciplinary Team.
  • To support young people to develop an awareness of eating disorders utilising a patient centered approach and involving families in planning and implementation of care.
  • Shifts are 07.00-15.00 and 13.00-21.00 including nights from 20.00-08.00.
  • To train and work with experts from a range of disciplines, attend extension training, develop mentoring skills, and individually plan a variety of development opportunities directed by your personal interests and ability.
  • To get involved with planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating nursing care, using evidence-based practice.
  • To work in a small friendly non-hierarchical organisation where you can be as ‘bigger’ fish as you want to be in our ‘small professional pond’
  • To make a real difference to young people’s lives, help them and their families understand their issues, work together, get well and have real hope for the future.
  • Experience of eating disorders not essential.
