Job Description

Our client are looking for a Facilities/Secuirity office to join a busy team at their modern offices based in Stratford E15. This role is office based and will work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm or 9am -5pm from their offices Summary of the Roles Main Purpose: Responsibility for the management of security access control and CCTV systems across multiply sites

  • Manage, Monitoring, inspecting and testing surveillance equipment, CCTV and building security systems.
  • Manage the security procedures including fire warden training, bomb procedures for dealing with suspect packages and floor walks to ensure access points are clear.
  • Lead new starter process for, including issuing security passes, appropriate level access control and site inductions.
  • To provide cover and support across all areas of the Workplace Facilities functions and services e.g. mail, couriers, security, donations, compliance and soft services, to ensure continued support is provided during wider team absences and leave.
  • Support the Facilities Manager in the co-ordination of internal staff events (e.g. all staff presentations, passion talks etc) providing services where applicable e.g. event, set up, catering, security etc. and proactively liaising with applicable teamse.g. Tech, Comms etc
Key Accountabilities: To be responsible for the day to day Security, Access Control and CCTV at all relevant sites, able to respond to emergencies, including assisting a person or persons to safety, deter a person or persons from entering premises or to physically escort aperson or persons from the premises.
  • Proactively liaise with HR in the new starter process ensuring all new staff are issued with security passes, building guidance and procedures, and run induction days.
  • Be the first point of contact for the Facilities team and deal with all matters relating to safety and building security at Redman Place.
  • Lead on-going training to for site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals,
  • Ensure company are compliant with all relevant legislation on data protection.
  • Work with the Facilities Manager to identify and drive opportunities for improvements and efficiencies across all the service areas
  • Attend refresher and toolbox boxes to ensure office fire drills and evacuation, security and compliance are met and maintained.
  • Support the wider team to identify and improve operational performance, seeking feedback and identifying opportunities to improve processes and work more efficiently
  • Work proactively with the buildings landlord and security team to ensure reception and common parts are safe
Key Technical Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behaviours:
  • Previous experience of security systems
  • Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety procedures
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualifications (Desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to organise and manage own workload
  • Customer-focused attitude in day-to-day work
  • Develop and establish own high professional standards
  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues, communicating information clearly and effectively
  • Able to work flexibly and vary start and finish times in order to support the service and work within established guidelines and procedures at all levels
  • Passion to deliver a great service to all customers/colleagues
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and written, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer literate and fully conversant with the Microsoft Office suite
This role is limited flexibility i.e. needs to be onsite a min of 4 days a week
