Prospectus is proud to be partnering Staffordshire University, an award-winning institution with world-class facilities, specialist courses and global opportunities. They are now recruiting for a Mental health and wellbeing practitioner to join their teamon a temporary basis, initially for 2 months, with the possibility of extension.As a mental health and wellbeing practitioner you will support in the provision of a triage service, a standardised mental health assessment for all students referred to the service, determining the most appropriate intervention. You will deliver 1:1 therapeutic/counsellinginterventions, develop and deliver mental health and wellbeing group activities and workshops, manage a small caseload of more complex/high risk students and develop and maintain effective links with external NHS and voluntary sector mental health services.You will also be involved in organising and running promotional events helping to raise awareness and liaise with appropriate external agencies for additional support and advise for students.To be successful, you will be an experienced Mental Health Practitioner and have a background of delivering intervention to clients who present with varying levels of mental health needs. You will have previous experience of working closely with externalagencies to facilitate access to additional support and advice for services combined with the ability to facilitate and deliver therapeutic/counselling 1:1 session (face-to-face and via teams) and group activities and workshops. Finally, the ability to conducteffective assessment is essential, as is previous experience of managing a small caseload of complex/high risk student. Although not essential, previous experience of work in the Higher Education sector would be advantageous.To be considered, you must be available immediately or with no more than 1 weeks notice period. You will be required to work Monday- Friday, 37 hours per week, 9am-5pm, hybrid option will be considered.
