Job Description

Complex Care Assistant

  • Location: E15
  • Job Type: Temporary ongoing, minimum 25 hours per week
  • Salary: £13 per hour plus holiday pay
We are seeking a dedicated Complex Care Support Workerto provide compassionate care to a 48-year-old woman living with motor neurone disease. The ideal candidate will have experience with non-invasive ventilation machines, cough assist devices, and managingincontinence, as well as proficiency in donning and doffing masks safely. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with the use of non-invasive ventilation machines to support the client’s breathing.
  • Operate cough assist devices to aid in respiratory function.
  • Provide support with incontinence care, ensuring the client’s comfort and hygiene.
  • Follow strict protocols for donning and doffing masks to maintain a safe environment.
  • Monitor the client’s condition and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
  • Engage with the client in a compassionate and respectful manner, providing emotional support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of six months’ experience in complex care settings.
  • Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation and cough assist devices.
  • Knowledge of best practices for incontinence care.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols for donning and doffing masks.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, personalised care.
