Job Description

We are in the process of gathering data required for close-out, assurance and handover within our core Information Management System and with massive datasets of transactional data it is critical that there is a robust and coherent reporting solution in place to measure progress.This reporting solution is based on SQL, SSIS, Microsoft Power Automate and PowerBI and has evolved to meet the current needs of the business. The IT Reporting Analyst is responsible for all aspects of this solution and is responsible for ensuring that this solution is fit for purpose and meets the needs of the business.Principal Accountabilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert of business data, database structures and business rules starting with our core EDMS through SQL based ETL processes into PowerBI datasets, dashboards and reports
  • Develop ad hoc reporting utilizing various tools such as SQL, Microsoft Office (Excel), Power BI and SSRS which use the correct data sources for a given analysis
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes around reporting data and deliver solutions using existing tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint and Flow
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the overall reporting solution and, where required, train the internal IT team on relevant processes and data sources
  • Meet with internal customers to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements and ensure that the overall reporting environment remains consistent in terms of key measures and dimensions
  • The development of the Support Analyst who reports into this role
  • Adept at SQL, able to comprehend complex SQL queries while producing informative Power BI reports to effectively represent the data (60% Reporting, 40% SQL)
  • Comfortable in working with extremely large and complex data sets
  • Microsoft Power Automate / Azure Logic Apps
