Summary At Wentworth Castle Gardens, were seeing more visitors every year and want to ensure that all of them have the best possible experience. We want to be responsive to local audience feedback, break down barriers to access, and explore how Wentworth Castle Gardens canbe relevant to the lives of more people. Youll work closely with all departments and report to the Partnership & Participation Manager.We want you to learn and develop your career while youre with us. Well work with you to identify the training and support that you need to achieve your goals. What youll be doing As Visitor Experience Officer, youll support all teams to develop innovative ways of presenting and communicating the stories and ongoing work at Wentworth Castle Gardens. Working with partners, volunteers and community groups, youll co-create engagingprogramming and a year-round visitor offer. Youll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, ensuring that all our communications with visitorsfrom the first click on the website, to the signs around the propertyare clear, engaging andconsistent.There will be delegated tasks in marketing, including creating copy for our social media channels and property website.Youll be on the duty manager rota for the site. Who were looking for Wed love to hear from you if you have:Experience in visitor operations, ideally in the heritage, culture, arts, natural environment, sport or visitor attraction sectorExperience of producing interpretation, marketing or promotional materialStrong IT skillsMicrosoft Office, as well as web and social media applicationsA flexible, visitor-first approach, with high standards of customer service and an eye for detailThe ability to build strong, collaborative relationships, both externally and internallyExperience of working with and supervising volunteersGreat organisational and planning skills, including setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
