Exciting NEW Travel Agency launching in Birmingham, with ambitious growth plans, are seeing an experienced Travel Agency Manager to run the show! A hugely experienced management team, with many years in the Travel Industry, have partnered with a supermarketchain to launch a modern travel agency. Based within the stores, it will combine the services of a traditional travel agency, with state of the art technology to appeal to a wide audience! So customers who want to engage and chat with a Travel Consultant can,and those short on time can have a more virtual service! With 28 shops planned in the first year, starting in Birmingham and growing nation-wide, this is an amazing career opportunity at a point where Travel Agencies are seeing huge demand. Excellent startingsalary circa £27k pa - £30k (negotiable), plus commission, incentives and profit share.JOB DESCRIPTION:

Being involved in the running of the first branch of a new-start up Travel Agency, first branch is in Small Heath
A real opportunity to run it like your own business and be very much involved in the growth of the company
Working with an Assistant Manager and a team of three Consultants, being hands on both managing and selling
Advise, assist and performance manage your team to achieve sales & service targets
Work pro-actively; you and your team will need to engage with the footfall from the supermarket
Utilise the latest technology, to gain peoples interest who are short on time, so they can leave their details and can be followed up with
Booking UK, European and Worldwide holidays using a range of Tour Operators
Converting enquiries to bookings, working to targets and commission.
Working a rota 5 days over 7 days.
Assist with any other company duties, such as local marketing events, administration and resolving any escalated customer service issues

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:We are seeking someone who has managed a high street retail travel agency previously or been an assistant mananger, is passionate about travel and ambitious about their career. You will have exceptional customer service, solid people and performance managementand a drive to succeed.THE PACKAGE:Starting salary is negotiable, but in the region of £25k - £30k pa. Whilst basic is important, this will come with excellent earnings potential with a competitive commission scheme, annual profit share, tour operator incentives, at least one FAM trip a year,heavily discounted personal travel.
