Job Description

Site SupervisorLocation: Covering sites in the MidlandsSalary: Circa £40,000 p/a + BenefitsContract: Permanent, Full timeHours: Flexible working pattern, mainly Mon/-FriExciting and varied opportunity at a bespoke splash pad contractor.Do you have a strong work ethic and experience of managing small teams in a civil engineering environment If so, we want to hear from you.Our Goal at The Splash is to create fun, exciting and safe experiences with water. From themed adventure parks to architectural dancing jets we cover all areas when it comes to water play.Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the post-holder will be responsible for overseeing the teams delivery of works to a high standard and in a safe and timely manner whilst contributing to the daily tasks. This is a field based, supervisory role that requiressubstantial amounts of travel and frequently the need to lodge away. We are looking for someone with the drive to develop at The Splash, ensuring top class delivery on our projects.While attitude is more important to us than qualifications, you will be either a Site Agent, or Supervisor, who is highly organised, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Site Supervisor - Essential

  • Able to read technical documents such as Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH Documents.
  • Able to work alone own and using own initiative to solve problems and complete daily tasks.
  • Physically fit to enter confined spaces and access works on a construction site.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A good communicator, able to liaise confidently and deal with a variety of people including the client, suppliers and team members in face to face, in writing and on the telephone.
  • Organised, focused and self-determined.
  • Possess a positive attitude and be committed to high levels of care for staff and the client.
  • Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements; working hours are not set and will depend on the work location and client requirements.
  • Able to consistently work to a high standard of health and safety and quality. Knowledge of health and safety is essential.
  • Hold a current CSCS Card (ideally Gold Supervisor Card) SMSTS (or SSSTS with the ability to work towards achieving SMSTS as a minimum).
  • Able to competently use tablet computer or be willing to be trained in its use.
Site Supervisor - Desirable
  • Experience gained within the water industry
  • Civils or Waterproofing
  • Towing Licence
  • Medium Risk Confined Space Entry Training to City and Guilds Level
