Job Description

My client, based in Skelton (East Cleveland) is looking to add an experienced Quality Manager to their team, covering a 12 month maternity leaveAs a quality manager you will provide factory support whilst ensuring the quality management/operation systems approach are relevant and appropriate to deliver consistent quality to agreed specifications.My client has a global presence and work with some of the biggest brands in the Manufacturing industry, so they expect the successful candidate to be creative, culturally savvy, and commercially driven.Within the role you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

Line management of the Technical Team
Monitoring and acting on quality performance trends
Update and maintain product specifications
Updating MSDS and COSHH assessments of production materials as necessary
Qualifying and realising raw material substitution advantages
Ownership of the product modification process: acceptance, evaluation and product scale up of new items
Maintenance of the ISO9001 management system and external parties as necessary

To be considered for the position you must hold some, if not all, of the following skills/experiences:

High degree of competence of using Microsoft Office, knowledge of BOM and ideally Baan systems
Problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Self-motivation
