Job Description

Our client 6G Internet is a provider of Broadband services in the Northwest of England. 6G Internet is the entrepreneurial, high growth, challenger brand in the regulated and fiercely competitive broadband and home Wi-Fi sector. 6G Internet are buildingtheir own air fibre network and rolling out from town to town across the Northwest of England.The position of Website Manager is a key role within the business. You will own the end to end Web Journey for our customers and oversee the functionality of the websites we manage for our customers, evaluate and manage website performance,develop, maintain and update website content.Our clients are looking to evolve their web presence. All aspects of web page design, front and back end development, search engine optimisation and customer journey are being reviewed and improved upon. Part of this wholesale review has identified the needto recruit a Website Manager to plan out the improvements and put a structure in place for future enhancements, development and functionality.You will manage the website in accordance with the companies brand, strategy and standards, audit content and work with and alongside other functions in the business (leadership, product, systems, IT, sales and marketing) to plan out, prioritise and deliverwork on time and to budget.You will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of managing e-commerce solutions at scale in your previous roles.To succeed in this role you must be an organized, reliable and results-driven professional. You must have a practical mind to solve problems on the spot partnered with an ability to see the "big picture" and make improvements. As a senior manager in thebusiness, you will have excellent customer service and communication skills.Duties of the Website ManagerLine management of all personnel in the dedicated web teamEnsure the team are kept up to date with current and future technologies and best practicePlanning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading the various websites within the group business.Responding to and troubleshooting all website issues.Conducting content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.Creating appropriate website content aligned with the companys strategy.Ensuring website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.Improving the user experience of the website regularly.Collaborating with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organizations standards (example GDPR).Creating strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.Ensuring full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and monitoring competitor websitesBe the voice of the department and active in personal pro-active contribution.Work with Marketing and Legal teams to check copy and standardsAs Website Manager you should be able to offer skills/experience in the following:HTML JS CSS5 PHP LARAVEL LINUX etcLeadership- overall ownership of tasks- organise the team and assign tasks;Copy editing- script content that is understandable and jargon free;Great social media skills- understands how to speak to customers using new media;Influencing skills;Must be able to resolve and overcome difficulties- e.g. Difficulties within the team and issues with work;
