Job Description

Project Engineer - Field BasedTo support the operations team withdelivering wireless connections to a potential target of 4 million homes in the North-West and the Midlands. The infrastructure delivers connectivity via transmitters mounted on rooftops, telecommunication masts, monopolesand street poles. We are building this infrastructure in around 12,000 locations as part of our first phase. Our fixed wireless network delivers bandwidth through the air to the premises without the disruption and cost of traditional ground fibre schemes.We are looking for an experienced Project Manager or Project Engineer who is able to train new engineers, trouble shoot any issues, handle escalated issues but most importantly audit existing projects to ensure the highest quality. Although there will be therequirement to be hands on at times you will be responsible for auditing the work done by the operations team.You will be highly quality focused, be an expert in some form of cabling and able to transfer information to other people in the team.Duties of the Project Manager/Engineer

  • Work in the field reviewing active projects, review completed construction projects.
  • Training new staff
  • Audit /QC check what build has built to ensure it matches procedures/work instructions
  • introduce new process to build teams
  • Ensure active construction work is completed to the highest quality
  • Ensure documentation is up to date and highlights any compliance issues.
  • Make any corrections to installation issues
  • Managing staff and growing the team as our network grows across the UK.
Please note you do not have experience in Fibre, you may have experience in IT , Cat 5 or satellite cabling, as we will provide the necessary fibre training.This role is working within the rapid response team and will involve emergency call outs. It is field based and will involve working at heights, so you must be comfortable on ladders and in Cherry pickers.We will provide training for Licenses including IPAF and the Traffic Management street works accreditation
