Job Description

Workforce Support Team LeaderGrade: Band 7Location: LondonJob Type: Full-time12 MonthsMy client, a world leader in training optical professionals, are seeking aWorkforce Support Team Leader to provide exceptional HR transactional service leadership across theirtrust. Reporting to the Associate Director of HR Operations, the successful candidatewill be the subject matter expert on Agenda For Change terms and conditions and will lead a team to deliver a first-class advisory service, HR administration, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Day to Day of the Role:

  • Lead the Workforce Support Team in providing high-quality HR transactional services.
  • Plan and implement strategic improvements in governance and processes.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs to measure the success of improvement plans.
  • Manage HR transactional activities, ensuring compliance with Trust KPIs and service expectations.
  • Develop and review Standards Of Practice for the team, ensuring robust governance.
  • Provide expert advice on HR and payroll issues, including pay, entitlements, and terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Act as a source of advice to line managers on relevant HR administration and Payroll issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with HR transactional/administration service qualification or proven experience.
  • Experience within a HR transactional/administration function in an NHS organisation.
  • Experience providing advice on AFC terms and conditions.
  • Experience in investigating overpayments and managing a diverse workload.
  • Experience of line managing, leading, and developing a team.
  • Proficiency in HR software and ESR.
