Our award-winning, campaigning title is leading industry change through both its exceptional print and digital offerings.Design is crucial to the success of the AJ as we are covering a creative discipline and we have a particularly design-sensitive audience.We now have an opportunity for an Art Editor to join the AJ team. Working as part of a 15-strong team of editors and journalists we can offer you a competitive salary and the opportunity to make a real difference - designing for one of theUKs most inspiring and creative professions.The RoleThe Architects Journal (AJ) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced graphic designer/art editor.As Art Editor of the AJ you will become the guardian for all the creative output of the award-winning AJ brand. This predominantly involves designing the monthly issue of AJ, but also means youll be creating graphics and visuals for online features andbuilding studies and be working with the events and marketing teams.Were looking for someone with an enthusiasm for design and architecture and lots of ideas to share.You are likely to have a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience, preferably within the publishing industry, and you need to be highly capable in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience of sending pages to press, working across digital andweb design platforms (WordPress), and commissioning illustrators/ photographers, will be advantageous.
