The Role;The Employee Relations Specialist will report into the Colleague Relations and ER Director, and will play an important role in the Colleague Relations Team, supporting the CR Consultant to coordinate, manage and give advice on all Colleague Relations withinthe region. Working with the Senior HR Stakeholders, the Employee Relations Specialist ensures the right process is followed, appropriate policies are in place and measures are taken for continuous improvement.Key elements of the Employee Relations Specialist role include:Complex case management and supporting the ER Consultant in managing the CR workload.Ensuring all policies, process flows and workflows are up to date and fit for purpose by regular review and alignment to legislation.Supporting on employee relations activities in the country.Owning the relationship with the colleague representatives.Educating on legislative changes to HR community and LeadersManagement reporting on ER cases, i.e. number of cases, reasons, trends or patterns. Use the results to make recommendations to upskill Managers and improve the colleague experience. Working with the ER Consultant to ensure measures and recommendations following cases are put in place where appropriate.Supporting restructures and redundancies.Supporting engagement and involvement in works councils and colleague representative negotiations and consultation.Managing the UK/Irish Immigration Process for onboarded colleagues with COEs and People Services, including audits and updating internal processes.Supporting the ER Consultant in the delivery of Specialist Projects.Supporting the Colleague Experience Manager in projects and enhancing Colleague Experience.The Company;My client is a prestigious software organisation based in the North East, and we are delighted to be supporting them in their search for an Employee Relations Specialist. This opportunity is available on a fixed term contract for 6 months (secondment), andon a hybrid working basis (2 days office, 3 days remote)The Person;The ideal Employee Relations Specialist candidate:Strong and up to date knowledge of Employment Law and application of this knowledge into ER cases.Ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders and groups and become a credible consultant, supporting managers and PBPs.Analytical skills to enable solid reporting.
