Job Description

Marketing / Administration Assistant (Part Time) required by a shipping and freight company based in near Colchester, Essex. 15 hours per week. £8,400pa (Full Time Equivalent £21,000 per anum).This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the Head Office Team. With previous marketing and administrative experience, you will be pro-active, with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.The Marketing and Administration Assistant is a dual role responsible primarily for supporting the Commercial Director with updating and developing the marketing branding, communications and strategy across the Company, with particular emphasis on social media.You will also be required (up to one third of your time) to provide general administrative support to the Head Office.Responsibilities:-Create engaging social media and report on analytics.-Support marketing campaigns which help us grow our business.-Identify press opportunities.-Press releases and article writing.-Maintain marketing lists (ensuring they are GDPR compliant).-Organise the production of marketing materials.-General administration duties as required.-Supporting Wallis in their own exhibitions and networking events.-Facilities admin (including mobile phones, office phones, company car admin).-Procurement of office supplies and stationery.-Supporting the HR Director with some HR and training administration.-Health & Safety adminincluding completing risk assessments.-Collaborating with Wallis chosen charities on fundraising opportunities.You:-Knowledge of marketing techniques and their application.-Knowledge of social media in commercial applications.-Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).-Excellent interpersonal skills.-Able to work independently.-Excellent IT skills.-Proven experience utilising social media to support market activity and corporate image.-Able to plan and prioritise workload.-Marketing qualification desirable but not essential-Experience of the logistics / distribution sector desirable but not essentialComprehensive benefits package (including pension, employee assistance programme, additional holiday purchase scheme, life assurance, group income protection).Apply Now with your CV and a Covering Note and we look forward to hearing from you.
