You will have the chance to play a key part in this strong work ethic, helping Thatchers continue to grow from strength to strength.So, if you want to put your industrial experience and engineering or project skills into practice with a market leader, this is the role you’ve been waiting for.The RoleAs a Projects Engineer, you will play a vital role in the delivery of a range of projects to support our on-site facilities.Specifically, you will manage and co-ordinate internal teams and sub-contractors to deliver projects on-time, within budget and in-line with agreed scopes of supply. You will see all projects through to completion stage, identifying, determining, evaluating, costing and preparing proposals for factory-based engineering projects.Additionally, you will:- Carry out risk assessments- Generate method statements for work tasks- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times- Review third-party RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) and generate PTW (Permit-To-Work) systems as required- Monitor and review sub-contracted activities to ensure that all works are delivered safely- Generate reports detailing project performance and progress- Oversee site services and reportingAbout YouTo be considered as a Projects Engineer, you will need:- An engineering and/or projects background- Experience in an industrial setting, ideally in the Food and Drink sector- The ability to motivate and develop others- Excellent communication and relationship building skills- To be self-motivated, confident, self-assured and resilientAn understanding and appreciation of process plant, fabrication disciplines, electrical installations and industrial control systems would be beneficial to your application.Other organisations may call this role Engineering Projects Lead, Engineering Team Leader, Engineering Projects Manager, Projects Manager, or Engineering Manager.Webrecruit and Thatchers are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
