You will be provided with excellent training on our equipment, ensuring that you have the skills to embark on an incredible career with us.So, if you are eager to put your engineering background and welding skills to the test with a market leader, this is the roleyou’vebeen waiting for.The RoleAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our production facility through a range of engineering activities and works.Specifically, you will undertake TIG welding ofstainless steelthin wall pipework and carbon schedule pipework to a high standard.Complying with Health and Safety and site standards, you will measure and fabricate structural items including staircases and platforms and pipe fit from P&ID drawings.Additionally, you will use your good mechanical understanding to complete a range of fitting activities including motors and pumps.About YouTo be considered as a MechanicalEngineer, you will need:- A background in engineering- To be competent in welding- A good understanding of a workshop environment- The ability to use tools such as hand grinders, hand drills, lathe, iron work etc.- To be self-motivated, confident,self-assuredand resilient- To be a practical hands-on worker- The ability to work well within ateam and on your own- To be a pro-active problem solver- Good attention to detailOther organisations may call this role Mechanical Maintenance Engineer,Mechanical Technician,TIG Welder, Manual Welder, Welding Engineer, Welding Technician, or Welder.Webrecruit andThatchersare equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
