Summary Could you be the Senior Volunteering & Community Officer we need to join our teamBased at the South and East Devon Countryside office, The Stables, Saltram, Plymouth, but youll work across our countryside locations between Wembury and Dartmouth.With experience of volunteer management, as well as a broader participation and partnership working, youll be able to build effective and collaborative working relationships with property teams, partners and local communities combined with a passion forengaging the public with nature and the outdoors.If this sounds like something youd be interested in, wed love to hear from you! What its like to work here This is a 2-year project post created to support the delivery of our ambitious Land, Outdoor and Nature agenda and the more local Wembury LON Project.The South Devon Countryside team are responsible for approximately 35 miles of beautiful coastline stretchingfrom Wembury to Dartmouth and are part of the larger South and East Devon portfolio. Youll need to be able to travel between these sites, so being able to drive your own car is vehicle is essential. Youll be able to claim travel expenses from the place ofwork (Saltram) to site visits (Wembury, Salcombe etc) as needs be.Our team work with many volunteers and community groups to deliver our conservation work andcreate opportunities for the public to engage with our work and understand the National Trusts cause. This is an exciting time to join our team as we start to developnew opportunities to engage the local community, stakeholders and public in the work we do. What youll be doing Youll be managing the development and delivery of this portfolios strategic plan for volunteering and communities alongside the property leadership team. Managing and embedding change whilst widening and deepening our relationships with existing and newaudiences.Youll also increase the confidence and capability of others whilst creating a collective, flexible and inclusive environment for existing & future volunteers, communities and partners.
