Summary We are seeking an exceptional Project Manager to lead our Development Phase of our National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF Project). You’ll bring with you a track record in overseeing the development of large and intricate heritage projects. Saltramis an historic estate located on the urban fringe of Plymouth, so you’ll unlock our potential to have a significant impact on the citys health and well-being by connecting its people with nature and heritage. This post is funded by the NHLF and the National Trust. What its like to work here The Future Saltram programme of projects will deliver the next chapter in Saltram’s history, making everyone welcome and providing them with the chance to connect with heritage and nature. Over the next decade we will open up moreof the parkland, restore our historic landscape, develop outdoor experiences, create engaging programming to showcase the stables, house and gardens, deliver habitat improvements and improve our visitor infrastructure. Saltram will secure its position as acherished place for generations to come. We have successfully secured a Development Phase Grant from the NLHF to develop a package of capital and activity projects that are integral to achieving our vision. You’ll be part of our SW consultancy team and will lead a mixed discipline team within a matrix management framework. This team are also working on other projects across the Future Saltram Programme. You’ll experience motivated and passionate team, workingat pace. Collaboration, learning, and adaptability are at the core of our approach, fostering a supportive team atmosphere. You’ll receive guidance and support from the National Trust’s regional and central project management and fundraising teams. Your primarybase will be Saltram, although the nature of our work allows for a hybrid approach, including spending time at our various locations, regional offices, and working from home. What youll be doing As the Project Manager for the NLHF package, your experienced eye will manage the critical path to completion of the NLHF Development Phase and ensure effective spend of the grant and meet the approved purposes set by the funder. With the Grants Consultant you will coordinate the submission of the Delivery Phase application, in the region of £4million, securing positive outcomes for Saltram and Plymouth. Youll lead and evolve our pipeline of projects for submission to the NLHF. The projects include; 1)Capital projects that will remove Saltram’s Amphitheatre from the Heritage at Risk register, repurpose the stables and improve access around the house, garden and stables, and 2)Activity projects that will develop new stories of Saltram, provide trainingfor staff and volunteers in welcoming everyone, develop programmes that support young people to develop green skills and heritage skills and create programmes with our community that connect them to the heritage of Saltram. We will also develop programmesthat will support wellbeing and opportunities to increase outdoor activity in our beautiful parkland. To do this you’ll be responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective communication of a team of inspiring specialists, including the Senior Building Surveyor, Grants specialist, Community and Participation lead, and Project Curator. Additionally, you’ll collaboratewith the Saltram team at the property level and have the support of regional and national specialists. Key stakeholders will also play a role in making sure we understand our target audiences, ensuring that all necessary preparations are in place for successfuldelivery and funding acquisition. Specifically, youll lead on the following outputs: the development of the Activity Plan, the NLHF Development Phase Review, Delivery Timeline, and the Final Development Phase report. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria: Successful delivery of heritage projects, including the development of activity plans, audience plans, and leadership of project teams, matrix management, and problem-solving Possession of a recognised project (APM PMQ/PRINCE2) or program management (MSP)qualification, or evidence of ongoing CPD in your career Ability to manage budgets and control costs with experience of funding processes. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to confidently engage with senior leaders and managecomplex and contentious external stakeholder relationships.
