Our main priority, therefore, is to find staff with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.Could this be youYour duties will be varied and no two days will be the same. Youll be providing support forday-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment,holidays etc along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management. In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care.As aSenior Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the service. You will also berequired to participate in the on call rota. You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessmentsfor the people we support.Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager). This means youmay need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required toundertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.Once you choose to apply, you will be asked to create an account with us. The Ideal Candidate We expect ourSenior Support Workers to share our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals.Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must, as well as computer (Word/Excel) skills and some knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is also required, and significant experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready towork as ateam toensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfillingand safe places to live.
