Job Description

Summary The successful candidate will join the Project Team working on the Mournes Project. Thanks to the support from our funders DAERA, the project is about managing wildfire recovery as well as adopting a more holistic approach to the protection andmanagement of the public estate in the High Mournes and environs. Through this approach, the Mournes have the potential to enhance local lives, boost the local economy through sustainable tourism, and provide genuine economic benefits to the local area and beyond. The project will provide the evidence base and frameworksnecessary to inform the future delivery of a transformative and sustainable landscape-scale management plan to protect the High Mournes and environs for future generations.Competency will be expected in using a range of internal systems and processes, including project reports, financial reporting and grant applications. The successful candidate will demonstrate confidence in terms of multitasking and working within a projectmanagement governance framework. What youll be doing The successful candidate will be working with the Project Manager and will support a variety of workstreams as the project progresses through each stage. Activities will include amongst others, data management, recording of team meetings, community engagement,project reporting, supporting procurement and budget management and deputising for the Project Manager for project related activities. The successful candidate will also participate as an active member of a passionate Project Team.As a Project Team we will be working with a broad range of external stakeholders and internal specialists so confidence with working across all levels of seniority is a must. The successful candidate will be expected to be comfortable working in a frontfacing role with high visibility.For more information please read the role profile.   • Good people skills, enabling good working relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT literacy including demonstratable experience of use of spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of budgets, finance and co-ordination of projects
  • Ability to multi-task and to successfully handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Good people and stakeholder management skills with ability to create and maintain strong working relationships
  • The ability to work well both in a team and on your own initiative
