Dont miss this chance to advance your career in hospitality with Reed Recruitment and our partner company.As a Kitchen Assistant, your responsibilities would include:• Nutritious Meal Preparation: Collaborate with the cook to prepare nutritious and balanced meals for residents. Consider individual dietary needs, including those with dysphagia or allergies.• Consultation and Collaboration: Work closely with residents and staff to develop healthy and balanced meal plans. Ensure that meals align with residents’ preferences and medical requirements.• Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. Regularly monitor kitchen stocks and order supplies as needed.• Cultural Sensitivity: Be mindful of residents’ religious and cultural backgrounds, as these may impact their dietary requirements.• Supportive Role: Assist in light cooking duties, lay tables, prepare trays, and serve meals. Participate in washing up and waste disposal.Skills and Experience:• Treat people with dignity.• Possess good listening and observational skills.• Basic numeracy skills.• Awareness of the challenges faced by individuals needing care and support.To be a Kitchen Assistant, you need:• Good communication skills to interact with residents.• Ability to work both in a team and independently.• Desirable: Previous experience in a catering role and Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.Work Hours: 8:00 am to 6:30pm (3 to 4 days per week)Additional Benefits:- Full paid induction.- Free uniform provided.- Company pension scheme.- Free tea and coffee during break times.If this sounds like the ideal job for you, please contact me on or .
