Job Description

Finance Manager - Growing/Fresh ProduceUK Salads is long established company specialising in growing and supplying a high standard of fresh produce, specifically peppers, aubergines, cucumbers and tomatoes. We are committed to our values of People, Quality and Growth and are currently recruitingfor a Finance Manager to join our team.The main purpose of the role is to maximise profit and reduce risk. In addition to this, the role will be focussed on, overseeing end to end business financial operations financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations. Looking to make improvementsto procedures and controls. Provide accurate timely financial reports to allow all management levels to make decision. Communicate and mage financial risks ensuring robust internal/external financial forecasting. Delivery compliance audits.This role has the opportunity to develop to Head of Finance.Responsibilities will include:

  • Loading the analysis of weekly, monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to CEO/Board
  • Managing an end to end audit process of current systems while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors
  • Completing monthly management accounts, month end journals and year end accounts.
  • Leading and managing the Finance Team responsible for weekly & monthly payroll, VAT, HMRC reports, Accounts Received
  • Dealing with Working Capital Management and Production of Cashflow Forecasts
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, pre-payments and similar accounting entries
  • Supervision of Sales, Purchase, Credit control and Bank payments
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Leading monthly review of business costs management, overheads and risk and opportunities - maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Continually identify risks to delivery, purpose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout
  • Publishing accurate weekly profit and loss and communicating financial performance against budget/forecast
  • Develop finance team skills, knowledge and success through hands on team development and communication/training
  • Ensure financial performance of the business departments e.g. Growing, Logistics, Packing, Technical is monitored with clear KPI structure
  • Providing cover for team holidays/absence and any other ad hoc reports as required by senior management.
