JOB: QA manager - Night shift 40k Good package This role is based initially on nights Monday to Friday but could move to a continental shift pattern in the future. We are looking for a QA Manager to join our team a successful manufacturing company based in Northampton This role is based initially on nights but could move to shift pattern in the future. Your Profile As the QA Manager you will have a proven track record of improving, training, and implementing quality, food safety and legal compliance processes to ensure high and consistent product quality, as well as process efficiency and first time right A motivated, self-starter who is confident to autonomously run the night shift A proactive, enthusiastic can-do approach Strong team player who can work well with other departments to find solutions to issues A passionate QA manager who will both suggest and deliver improvements Ideally both Food Safety L3, HACCP L3 trained and internal audit trained High Risk/High Care is highly advantageous The role You will prevent recalls & withdrawals as well as brand and image protection by securing the defined quality and food safety levels. Key Responsibilities Plan strategic and operational activities to assure knowledge and way of working that is needed to fulfiland exceed the expectations within QA areas throughout the whole organization. Responsible for closing any gaps between stakeholder requirements, legal requirements, and existing processes within QA on the site. - Ensure that policies and procedures, legal and customer requirements are complied with within the production site - Responsible for HACCP plans within the production site - Ensure that the factory, production and produced products meets external and internal requirements, including legal (national and international) and standard compliance as well as customer expectations - Work proactively with our processes to continuously improve Quality performance. - Responsible for quality RCAs, risk assessments and control plans for the production site - Responsible for coordination of quality and food safety audits performed by internal or external bodies, authorities, and customers - Represents quality in audits performed by internal or external bodies, authorities, and customers - Responsible to take actions, follow up and closing of any non-conformances raised during audits - Responsible for implementing Food Safety Culture - Responsible of quality and food safety training of operators and leaders at the production site - Assure and follow up QA key KPIs - Supports R&D with topics on site concerning recipes etc - As a member of the site leadership team, you should contribute to the strategic business planning within your area of responsibility. Leadership You have both QA specialist- and leadership competence. - 5 years of experience in a similar position and working with QA and Quality management systems including implementing and developing QA management standards. - Good experience in food manufacturing processes - Ability to interpret and implement QA legislation - Good experience in planning and performing audits within QA - Good leadership skills - Continuous improvement mentality and skills What we offer - Challenging and interesting work in family-owned company work with strong brands and products - Possibility to participate in different tasks to support your professional development.
