Health, Safety and Environment ManagerSalary: £50,000-£55,000 per annumCommutable from: CorbyNorthamptonshireYour Profile: The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager will be responsible for delivering performance across all aspects of Health & Safety and Environmental management on site. This includes but is not restricted to: Production processes, engineering and facilities maintenance and includes training and monitoring systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to present and train confidently Level 6 qualification in safety management (NEBOSH Dip, NVQ or equivalent) 5 years in safety management positions Environmental qualification (IEMA) or demonstrable experience Food Industry experience or experience within fast paced manufacturing. The roleTo establish and maintain a culture of Safety and Environmental awareness within the business, using a progressive approach by monitoring standards through audits/assessments, reporting on KPIs and carrying out regular reviews with the Site team. Being the site lead in all HSE matters, developing, implementing and monitoring HSE strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the site team and associated activities. Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental strategies that promote legal compliance as well as overseeing strategies to reduce key Environmental impacts within the business. As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will work on improvement projects aligned to the long-term strategy of the company and will be instrumental in creating a safe and sustainable work environment. More Specific Duties Include: To advise and guide management on new and existing health safety and environmental developments to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.To Co-ordinate all accident investigations, effectively reporting all injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences to the HSE in accordance with RIDDOR regulations.To record and review all statistics relating to near miss and actual accidents in order to effectively manage accident claims and implement improvements to safety standards.To ensure all risk assessments and safe systems of work are completed and maintained, including physical, chemical, biological and environmental risks.To audit and verify all contractors risk assessments and method statements ensuring that contractors are competent having sufficient skill, knowledge, ability ,training and experience to complete contracted works.Ensuring site compliance with regards to relevant statutory requirements including but not limited to , PUWER,LOLER ,PSSR and Legionella controls.Coordinate and maintain the site emergency plan ensuring relevant drills and practices are completed including fire and ammonia release. Assess health and safety training needs across the site and work together with all departments to ensure training standards are met and maintained.
