Premier Recruitment(S.E.) has a great opportunity to work with prestigious and market leading client, based in Rochford, Essex, who is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Forklift Driver , to join their growing team on temp to perm basis.This is an amazing opportunity to join a company, to progress fast and learn many new skills.We require Forklft Driver to operate various forklifts from 3t to 16t. The role includes vessel discharge from trailers to loading road vehicles for cargo delivery. We handle two main products at the port those being timber and steel (rebar, coil and mesh)The port receives vessels of up to 5000t and can operate from two berths. The cargo is discharged from the vessel and is put to stow to size ready for collection.Timber is loaded to road transport for delivery throughout the country so diligence is required to avoid loading errors of which is a high priority to fulfil our customer expectations.Steel products again is loaded to road transport and long lengths of rebar may require tandem lifting so being able to work as team is of high importance.As with all MHE this is a safety critical role and sound knowledge of all safety implications of operating plant and interacting with drivers, following R/A’s and SSOW etc is expected.Pre shift checks are a requirement as is damage reporting and general good practice.Our working hours on vessel days are 0700-1800 with three half hour breaks but flexibility is expected during the working day. Non vessel days hours may change depending on work activity.There is also potential for weekend work on an as and when required basis and as with the nature of a shipping environment some flexibility is expected.Please apply if interested or contact directly Tom Kurczab at Premier Recruitment(SE)
