Job Description

Warehouse OperativeFull-time, Permanent - Monday to FridayNear PulboroughSalary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year depending on experienceThe role involves accurately picking and packing of customer orders, reeling cable, possible occasional driving customer orders to site and providing customer site assistance, some basic computer entry work, stock control and general warehouse duties includinghousekeeping.The applicant should be physically fit, hold a clean driving licence, Counter Balance and preferably Reach Forklift licences, be numerate, a good communicator, enjoy working as part of a lively team and thrive in a busy environment.This is a physically intensive but varied role consisting of unloading deliveries from a handful of packages to full container loads, locating of all incoming stock, rotation and relocation of existing stock and computer based manual booking in of stock.Tasks and Main Duties

  • To handle incoming stock deliveries and customer returns, including unloading, putting away and booking into the system
  • To rotate and relocate existing stock lines
  • To conduct stock checks as requested
  • To cover staffing or additional task requirements in our additional facility in Lancing, West Sussex
  • There may be occasions it is required to deliver consignments to the courier depot outside of contracted working hours. On these occasions, overtime will be paid for the additional hours taken outside of contracted hours to fulfil the task.
Experience in a similar working environment is desirable, preferably within Distribution or similar. System and procedural training will be provided but its beneficial to have a prior understanding of the job role. Having a driving license and a forkliftlicense is essential.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office is Preferable
