Job Description

Operations Improvement Manager HorshamSalary £DOEA lean practitioner with a hands on track record of driving continuous improvements within an electronics manufacturing environment. In-depth understanding of the mechanics of an ERP system.Job RoleIdentification, definition, justification and leading the implementation of continuous improvements initiatives to enhance operations performance. Working with senior leaders to determine continuous improvement goals and objectives. Fostering, driving andsustaining a culture of Continuous Improvement. Identifying and negotiating resource availability in support of continuous improvement initiatives.Key Tasks

  • Identifying and prioritising projects for Continuous improvement. Determining what improvements require full project scope and what can be "just do".
  • Identifying and conducting training to expand knowledge and use of continuous improvement methods and encouraging, engaging and involving employees at all levels.
  • Focussing on the reduction of waste and cycle times
  • Developing capabilities to drive continuous improvement and increase yield.
  • Collaborating with the Global organisation in order to share best practices.
  • Defining measures of success for continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and reporting continuous improvement performance.
  • Working with people to establish goals, monitoring and intervening when necessary.
  • Leading improvement projects.
  • Ownership and accountability of improvements across all functions of operations.
Skills / Experience
  • Prior experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and application of Lean practices and methodologies.
  • Managing people.
