Job Description

We are recruiting for a Production Planner to join a busy, fast paced engineering company based in the Hamworthy, Poole.About the Company: -An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UKs leading Mechanical Power Transmission Specialist. Founded over 50 years ago, servicing 4300+ global customers, the mission is to maintain nothing but the highest of standards in power transmission. We arethe UKs largest manufacturer of Pulleys, Gears and Sprockets. Furthermore, we are major manufacturers and stockists of major timing, conveyor belt and chain brands; with the capability to customise in-house. -We are looking for an experienced Production Planner with a minimum of 2+ years experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate must be familiar with manufacturing & engineering practices, have a strong working knowledge of MRP systems and a good understandingof material management.Your responsibilities: -

  • Capacity planning.
  • Robustly utilise MRP systems.
  • Generate and maintain job packs for production release.
  • Manage the planning and preparation of material schedules.
  • Liaise with production/sales to rectify technical queries.
Your background: -
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.
  • A proactive thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office tools e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of intuitive ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong planning & organisational skills.
