Job Description

Machinist (Compressor / Vacuum Pumps) Location: Poole, Dorset Salary: £12 - £15 per hour, (DOE) + Excellent BenefitsSchedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional half-day overtime.Our client, a renowned manufacturer and supplier of vacuum pumps is seeking a Machinistto join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small workshop based in Dorset, and work with a range of advanced machine tools.Responsibilities:

Carry out assembly, repair, and overhaul activities on compressors, vacuum pumps, and skid packages.
Configure and operate a diverse range of machine tools.
Ensure precise and accurate machining by calibrating and adjusting machine tools appropriately.
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during all machining processes.
Foster collaboration with the Workshop Manager and fellow team members to achieve production targets and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role
Demonstrated mechanical expertise with a proven track record in assembling, repairing, and overhauling compressors, vacuum pumps, and skid packages.
Proficient in the setup and operation of various machine tools.
Familiarity with machine tool programming and control systems.
Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise and accurate machining processes.
