Summary Exciting times are ahead at Petworth House and Park and we are looking for someone enthusiastic about engaging visitors to join the team in this new role as Programming Assistant.As Programming Assistant at Petworth you will play a key part in the planning and delivery of our events and activities for families. If you enjoy working in a busy atmosphere, in a hands on and creative role, this could be the job for you.This role is a full time, (37.5 hours) permanent position. Occasional weekend and evening work is required.Interviews will be held on February 14th. The team is currently working to update the propertys visitor offering and highlight its internationally-renowned collection of pictures and sculptureas well as its Capability Brown designed historic park and pleasure grounds. If you have lots of ideas, energy and ambition, then Petworth House could be the place for you.No two days are the same at Petworth, and in this role youll be involved with a wide range of tasks from planning family summer holiday activities to delivering Easter trails, working with volunteers and decorating for Christmas.We are open 363 days a year and growing our visitor numbers, from local communities and independent adults to families.We are proud to look after a place of international significance, but our focus is firmly on becoming locally loved and relevant too.Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing Working alongside the Senior Programming and Partnerships Officer you will develop and deliver engaging family events and activities to create a year-round programme centred around our annual theme.Ensuring events and activities run smoothly is key to providing our visitors with exceptional service and a memorable day out. Youll be hands on, ensuring all programme elements are delivered to a high standard.Youll be working as part of the team at Petworth, ensuring strong communication across departments such as Gardens, House, and commercial along with supervising volunteers. Who were looking for Excellent communication skills, able to engage a wide range of people, particularly families and young people. A team player, but also can work using your own initiative. Well organised, able to plan your time efficiently and adaptable to change. Customer focused with an understanding of the importance of great service.
