Job Description

Finance Manager / Petworth / Finance / FTC / AccountancyClient DetailsA flourishing Petworth organisation are seeking a Finance Manager on a fixed term contract basis to cover a maternity leave.DescriptionAs Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Running daily financial accounting efficiently in order to maintain cash flow and great relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and customers.
  • Partake in ongoing costing reviews and analysis to ensure profitability of the manufacturing process and end product.
  • Production of management accounts with commentary and presentation of key issues to management.
  • Responsibility for all accounting duties such as VAT, fixed assets and payroll.
  • Working closely with the directors to ensure an effective budget & cash flow process with regular reviews and variance analysis/reporting.
  • Developing accounting systems and processes to improve business efficiency.
  • Responsible for ensuring statutory compliance with regulatory bodies including Companies House and HMRC
  • Line managing 3 Accounts Assistants.
  • Managing audits.
Profile
  • An accomplished SME accountant with a previous experience as finance manager with a manufacturing or industrial business.
  • The ability to communicate accounting principles/ideas to non-finance colleagues.
  • AAT qualified accountant or a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA person.
  • Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week
  • Proficient in the use of Sage 50 and ERP software.
