Job Description

Our client operates a 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Wolverhampton, dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children in need. They are committed to promoting the well-being and development of each childin our care, helping them to thrive and reach their full potential. Our client is currently seeking passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as Childrens Residential Support Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for providing round-the-clock care and support to childrenwith emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children in residential care.
  • Implement care plans and support strategies tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Promote positive behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Engage children in a range of activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Support children in daily tasks such as meal times, personal hygiene, and homework.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the care and progress of children.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a rota pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off, including sleep-in shifts.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children.
  • Full UK Driving License
