Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fabric Engineer with an Building Services Experience and good all-round experience, for a Site based role at The Mall Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.This is a shift pattern of 5 days in 7. It will include a weekend working on a Rota.The role will be to carry out the Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Activities in accordance with our contractual agreements.To liaise with the Contract Supervisor and site team to ensure we provide an effective service to the client, thereby ensuring that works/repairs are completed efficiently, safely, on time and within service requirements.Job Overview

  • To carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance to the Fabric of the building including Carpentry, Decoration, Wet Trade Tasks and Small Civil Works all external and internal.
  • To be smart and courteous to our customers.
  • Taking good care of the site based shared vehicle and equipment provided.
  • Assisting other members of the team where the need arises.
  • To work at height using step ladders, mobile tower scaffold and MEWPs as appropriate.
  • To work safely from RAMS and record the jobs completed on the supplied handheld device so that accurate records of works can be maintained.
  • To work a shift pattern of 5 in 7 days, including weekends on a rota basis.
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety Standards are met.
  • To learn and utilise new techniques with training, as necessary. To undertake such training courses as requested by management.
Requirements:
  • A Building or Construction allied trade qualification.
  • Previous trades experience including repairs and maintenance within commercial premises.
  • Good time keeping.
  • To be able to use own initiative to get the job done and work well as part of a small team.
  • IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space Trained an advantage
  • Up to date relevant industry related knowledge
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
