Job Description

Job DescriptionHere at Long-Term Teachers, we have a number of Learning Support Assistant positions available around the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area.You will have the opportunity to work within a local Primary School supporting children on a 1 to 1 basis throughout either EYFS, KS1 orKS2 classrooms.Depending on your flexibility, these positions can be full-time or part-time.The RoleThe ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with SEN or have a strong understanding and knowledge of Special Educational Needs.You will need to be confident in adapting activities and delivering sessions to children individually, and assessing their development to communicate clearly with the class teacher.You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities.
  • Be enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in a wonderful lively environment
  • Can show sensitivity, compassion and empathy to working and caring for children
  • Motivated and interested in encouraging and participating in children’s play
  • Create a safe, learning environment
  • Manage and Support with the child’s needs.
  • Be adaptable with the learning opportunities.
