Job Description

  • To maintain and improve comprehensive site financial controls.
  • Provide business partner support to the Site Director, to drive and improve financial performance.
  • To manage and develop the site financial team.

  • Develop finance calendar for business detailing all key deliverable dates through the year to allow forward planning of resources
  • Robust timetable for all key deliverable published in advance to all stakeholders.
Ensure weekly and period end accounts are prepared and communicated to the Centre in the appropriate
  • Accuracy and timeliness of delivery
  • Effectiveness of systems
  • Reconcile weekly to monthly with minimal difference.
  • Relevant accruals and prepayments provided.
Annual audit and tax compliance
  • Work with Group and external auditors and advisory to complete on time and clean audit
  • Resolve outstanding audit points
Working capital and cash flow management
  • Robust weekly cashflow and working capital dashboard.
  • Work with business to identify blockers to efficient cash collection cycle.
  • Generate funds from working capital to minimise lending.
  • Lead AP, AR and Claims teams.
Provide acurate and timley budgets and forcasts
  • Adhere to budget and forecast timetables.
  • Work with SMT to produce stretching but achievable targets.
Responsible for preparing central capital expenditure requests and maintain overall capital tracker
  • Submit reviewed capital forms.
  • Assist in post implementation reviews
Profile
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team leadership, including understanding how to create a strong, effective, and professional finance team.
  • Strong organisational and management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships based on integrity, trust, and respected financial judgement.
  • Flexible with the ability to prioritise effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise independent professional judgement within an overall business context.
  • Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
  • Proven people management skills and strong leadership whilst working as part of a high performing team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
  • 8+ years of experience, including strong supervisory / team leadership experience.
  • Financial controller or equivalent experience highly desirable (demonstrable experience in financial and management accounting)
  • Internal controls experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and all Microsoft applications.
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
oWThe ideal candidate will have a track record of leading and developing a team of finance professionals within a dynamic and commercial environment. Experience of Navision and BI solutions is an advantage.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express opinions clearly and the and ability to translate financial matters and communicate to non-financial management is essential.Job OfferDaily rate via umbrella circa £400-£600 outside of IR35
