Job Description

General Operative, Body and Paint - Hethel, Norfolk Your new companyHAYS Recruitment are working in partnership with our client, a well known and prestigious car manufacturer based in Norwich to recruit for a number of General Operative Body and Paint roles.Your new roleBased at one of their Norwich based manufacturing plants, the role will be working on the Paint Room process assisting with the build of each new car. This is an exciting opportunity offering the chance to be part of the build process.DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to inspect, rework & prepare car body panels for paint application. Carrying out this processto the required qualitystandard, in the allocated time, using a variety of hand or power tools & related equipment. To supportsupervision andother operators with future build rates & absence cover. Roles duties:

  • Meet daily quality & production targets as set by the area Supervisor.
  • Ensure documented processes are followed at all times.
  • To be able to work in a structured manner.
  • To complete tasks in the allocated time
  • Understand the need & work within the Companys flexible working patterns.
  • Willing to learn new production techniques & processes.
  • To have the ability & willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Communicate with Team Leader / Senior Team Leader on concerns & shortages.
  • Understand & respond to the quality & process feedback system.
  • Handle all parts & equipment with care & attention.
  • Can work with minimum supervision.
  • Keeping themselves & others safe at all times.
  • Use & maintain all supplied Personal Protective Equipment in good condition.
What youll get in returnThis will be a permanent role for the successful applicants.The basic salary for this position will £20,275 per annum, with the opportunity to earn increased Overtime rates also.The typical working hours will be Monday to Thursday, 6.30am to 4pm.Friday will be on a flexi-time basis, if required you will finish at 1pm on Fridays.Saturday & Sundays will be available when required on an increased Overtime rate.Other Key Benefits include:
