Now, still a family company, their multimodal logistics network connects trade and businesses across Greater Europe.The businesses core expertise is modalities via road, rail, and short-sea journey. They have a unique fleet of over 3400 Megahuckepack XLS trailers on the move and 30 offices all over Europe.Our client is extremely passionate about the training and development of their teams. For the right candidate, this will be an exciting opportunity to grow and progress in a multinational organisation where you will be rewarded for your dedication and performance.The vision for this role is for the right candidate to eventually build their own team of field-sale representatives and manage their success within the region.The role involves interaction with partners and colleagues from offices throughout Europe. You will need to be able to multitask and be accurate in verifying and providing information.As such, we are looking for a highly organised person with strong communication skills and someone who has the ability to build a rapport quickly with potential customers:Responsibilities
  • Your focus will be on winning new business for the Northern region (UK)
  • Responding to tender requests & providing quotations to potential customers
  • Make site visits & presentations to potential new customers
  • Seek new business using your own research and by developing relationships with potential customers
  • Manage all aspect of the sales process from identifying sales leads to implementing new customer contracts
  • Working with the operations team to identify sales opportunities
  • Build on and maintain existing customer base – start to finish
Qualifications
  • Sales background within a consultative selling environment within the Logistics / Transport Sector
  • Operational knowledge to manage the accounts once brought on
  • Must be able to manage own schedule
  • Visit a minimum number of prospects per month
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Highly motivated and driven to achieve targets
  • Be able to translate Business requirements to Leads
  • Tenacious, well presented and a self-starter.
