Health and Safety Manger An exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager to join an International company who specialise within optimising production/processes in order to aid with environmental purification. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to several sites within the UK and will be ideally based in the North.This a great opportunity for anyone who has industry experience within the manufacturing/chemical industry as an EHS Manager, a degree of flexibility and willingness to travel is required as you will be expected to commute to the various sites in the UK,With this position you can be expected to be paid a salary of £38,000 - £48,000 depending on your skills and qualifications, this a full time permanent role working Mon - Fri.Job SummaryYou will be responsible for the inspection and assessment of the environment, equipment, and processes within the work areas to ensure that the manufacturing plants within the UK comply with government environmental and safety regulations, ISO 14001:2015.Job RoleRecord main EH&S performance indicators at European level and present the facts and preventive/corrective actions during monthly meetings.Advise management plants to maintain ISO 14001 certificate and pass the Global Safety Standard of CCC.Assist department heads in their safety meetings. Advise management on worker training. 5 Environmental, Health and SafetyManagement of Change (MOC) procedure is applied by all the departments. Participate in HAZOP analysis.Initiate, propose, and monitor short-term (annual) and long-term (5-year plan) safety and environmental objectives. - Coordinates the implementation on UK sites of Environmental and Safety tools and practices from the GroupInvestigation after any incident, accident or near miss and report in the Incident report database. Analyse causes to define the countermeasures.Lead the investigation of any environmental discrepancies in terms of emissions, waste, pollution, and spills. Reports in the incident report database and define the countermeasures.Main POC with the authorities and legal agencies of the environmental and labour inspectorate to handle complaints, new permits, litigation, and good relationship. - Issue required reports for the UK authorities and other relevant organizations, included the yearly sustainable development reporting.Establish new contracts with subcontractors for environmental matters (GHG/CO2 emissions, analyses, measurements, waste management, etc.) and monitor contractors, including auditing & reporting in Supplier Evaluation Report data base Lotus Notes.Make sure that all new equipment meets company and legal safety requirements.Champion Safe Start training and provide support to plant managements in deploying training to blue- and white-collar workers. - Educate and oversee employees on environment, health and safety procedures and regulations.QualificationsSafety or environment degree desirable.Experience in industrial environment as a Health and Safety Manager essential ideally 5+ years.Have experience in maintaining/implementing ISO 14001:2015.Experience in Training various levels of people of all experiences.Experience in MOC, HAZOP and various health and safety analysis procedures.
