Job Description

Here at Brookstreet Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for someone who is a strong administrator and experienced Customer Service advisor to work within the DVSA and are looking to get Customer Service Administrators started as soon as possible. Ifthis is something that sounds interesting, please apply below!The Role:Brook Street are proud to be working in partnership with the DVSA, based in Newcastle Tyneside House. We are recruiting for Customer Service Administrators (Temporary) to be based at the Newcastle Tyneside House office on a full-time basis.You will be required to respond to customer correspondence. You will need to manage your own workload, assess, log and investigate complaints and enquiries before drafting a quality reply to prevent escalations, processing refunds, re-booking where necessary.You will liaise with different departments and test centres to do this, speaking to customers and colleagues on the phone and by email where appropriate. You will gather information to recommend payments for and process out of pocket expense claims beforewriting to customers to notify them of the outcome, keeping the claims log up to date throughout.You should take part in team meetings and contribute to the staff engagement plan where possible; working closely with colleagues in a team environment to ensure that a consistent level of service is delivered, looking for continuous improvement opportunities.You may also be asked to perform additional tasks on an ad-hoc basis, such as taking notes during meetings, or collating and producing information for management.Assignment: 6 MonthsRate of Pay: £11.19 per hourHours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday - (Flexible Shift Patterns)Location: Benton, NewcastleWorking arrangements: Work from Newcastle Tyneside House (Potential for Work from Home)To deliver a wide range of work, the DVSA strongly believes in a team effort and relies on talented people with a wide range of skills and experience. Thats where you come in!You will build good working relationships both internally (with your team and peers) and externally.What your primary duties can include:

  • Working towards personal development, gathering evidence against objectives for performance management reviews.
  • Ensuring your self-management tasks (workloads / task rota / flexi / shared services) are proactively managed, communicating effectively with your line manager about any issues.
  • Engaging with colleagues and positively take part in team meetings, considering contributions from others.
  • Log and process out of pocket expense claims, test fee refunds and free test re-bookings in line with policy and with regard for customer service.
  • Update the appropriate systems and the claims log accurately.
