Job Description

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a well-established business based in Newark who are looking for a Payroll & Accounts Administrator to join their hard working but very friendly and down to earth team. You will work as part of the Newark based finance team providing a comprehensive payroll service to the business. The role will support the Ledger Manager deliver pay activities that are accurate, of high quality with a focus on first class customer serviceand continuous improvement. You will of course be given full system training and will have the support of a fantastic manager.Alongside this, benefits include:

Duties & Responsibilities of the Payroll & Accounts Administrator will include:
  • To administer three weekly payrolls within agreed timescales
  • To produce accurate and balanced payroll reports within agreed timescales
  • Use payroll software efficiently, including imports exports
  • Prepare and send BACS payments within agreed timescales
  • Accurately process all payroll amendments including tax code changes, personal data, statutory and company payments and deductions
  • Adhere to audit and best practice guidelines and ensure relevant housekeeping routines are completed routinely.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Pension submission
  • Assisting with finance ledger work
Key Skills & Experience required:
  • Experienced Payroll Administrator with min 2 years of experience
  • Good IT skills including intermediate level of use of Excel
  • The ability to work in a team and individually in a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Proficient in the use of payroll software
  • Friendly and approachable while professional.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen focus on data accuracy
  • Will be organised and calm under pressure.
  • Proactive, positive, and flexible to the needs of the business and the role.
  • Demonstrates a solid one team approach and “can do” attitude.
