Senior Patient Liaison Assistant/Day Controllers/ Planners (Booking patient transport) Long Term Temp Contract up-to March 2024 Ambulance ServicesBased in Peterborough, PE1 5UABand 3, £23,177 per annum - £11.84 per hour increased rates after 8pm at night and on weekends (x1.35 nights and Sat and x1.69 Sun).Weekly Paid Office based, open to full time and part time (salary will be pro rata)Shift pattern - times vary between the hours of 06.00 - 22.00 Including weekends, you will work 37.5 hours each week over a shift pattern Full enhanced DBS will be done Start will be ASAP so no longer than a weeks notice You must be free for Face-Face interview w/c 26th June 2023 Have you got experience working with people either face to face or over the telephone, have you experience of working with the general public if so this could be the role for you. Do you want to work for the NHS, and do you have great people skills,can you remain calm under pressure.Knowledge & ExperiencePrevious experience in the grade of Patient Transport Assistant and/or experience of dealing with the publicDay-Day Duties 1. Planning of transport for future dates.2. Responsibility for the control of ambulance services resources, includingvolunteer car service drivers for the current day, re-arranging schedules wherenecessary.3. Liaises between hospital staff, communications centres, transport offices andambulance crews to ensure patients are conveyed in the most effective andefficient manner, and the service level agreement is maintained at all times.4. Entering transport requests into the computer system.5. Manages resources to ensure patients are returned home promptly.6. Assists Ambulance Car Service drivers with any problems or queries they mayhave, and liaise with the Operations Resource Coordinator.7. Prints ambulance and car driver planned schedules for the relevant resource offthe computer system each day and ensures appropriate resources receive thework.8. Keeps records of all patient arrival and departure times at the hospital.9. Deals with enquiries / complaints from designated hospitals and patientsconcerning ambulance transportation.10. Assist in the monitoring analysis of the service level agreement and liaise with theCustomer Service Manager in providing a focused and reliable patient transportprovision.11. A working knowledge of the service level agreements.12. Undertaking front of house responsibilities as patient liaison for the Trust, whenappropriate.13. Assist the Non-Emergency Services Quality and Complaints Manager asappropriate.14. ISO 9001 / 2000 - Ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance withthis standard. Assist as required in the completion of internal ISO 9001 / 2000audits.15. Undertake the training of new staff.16.
